I've had my heat on all this week (live in MA).

It hasn't been wicked cold, now we're even getting a few warmer days.  But, I'm always afraid of pipes bursting in the freezing weather.  I've replaced some pipes - not from bursting - due to old age (my home it 77y/o).  And copper piping is expensive.

To me peace of mind is worth it, plus it's more comfortable for me.

We've been lucky that the night temps haven't dropped that low so far this fall.

I LHeartVE a chilly bedroom at night.  So I turn the heat off around 8 o'clock or so anyways in the winter.

Luckily, the sun heats the living room and dining room all winter long (as long as it's sunny!) during the day.  Just the kitchen gets chilly til I use the oven.

We're still taking showers in our outside shower/spa, which usually we turn the water off for the year for that by now.  I love taking my shower outside!  I wish I could do it year round.

Our heating bill isn't bad at all.

@Luvsmyfam  oh that's cold but if you were toasty than no need for the heater.  We will get down to 45 at 2am here in So Cal.  That's chilly but I think I'll be cozy with my blankets and my kitty by my side.  She's my heater!

We had our first frost in Albuquerque Wednesday night.  Cold here now.  Next week freezing every night.

Amazing how fast it turns isn't it?!

Same here in metro Denver in the 30's at night.  42 high on Monday 26 for the low.

We don't need our heater yet either.

We did turn it on & open the windows so we could check it out.

We just had a new unit installed so we wanted to make sure it works before it gets cold.
