Yes!
Last time I was in Sam's someone ripped open a box of Tide Laundry Sheets. And helped themselves to half the box.
Someone or several people go around and opens boxes on every isle. And help themselves to the products.
Our friend works at Costco and has lots of stories to tell too.
Can't blame the vendors to try and protect their products.
PS I worked in a retail store that had 747 stores. They closed all but 21. Owning and operating retail stores is tough and you sadly see and experience things you wish you hadn't.
The company gave us a figure of theft that was expected. We never came close to the "acceptable" amount. Maybe if the packages were harder to open there would be less empty ones on the shelves.
