Re: FAVORITE THANKSGIVING SIDE DISH?

The only one I ever loved was my aunt's creamed corn!  Just corn, cream sauce around it.  I came from an odd family food wise--and that was in the 1960's!

I have never been fond of the traditional sides, and my family liked plain green beans, baked sweet potatoes, green salad, cornbread dressing, giblet gravy, and rolls that we always forgot to get out of the oven and only one person ate them!  Woman Embarassed

We did have several pies and a cake or two, but the meal was basically healthy.  Until you got to dessert.

I'll be the different one, turnips and creamed onions.  I haven't had them in over 20 years since my Mom passed.

Re: FAVORITE THANKSGIVING SIDE DISH?

As a Hoosier, it has to be noodles made with the broth from the turkey.
