I grew up in a neighborhood full of mostly girls, and we loved to play outside. I had a swing set in the backyard, and there were nice  sidewalks where I would roller skate, and ride a skate board.

We also rode bicycles, and we put cards on the spokes for noise. Lol. 

Our home was on the corner lot, and there was a city lamp post there. All these many years later, I can hear my mother calling out to me after dark to come in. 

My daddy cooked on the grill during the warm months. He also made homemade vanilla ice cream often. 

Fond memories for sure.
