@ECBG   For me it a combination of my usual winter doldrums and the pandemic....not really being able to see family and friends.

Yes I feel a bit of both the last week or so.

Girl, we need those endorphins!  Grab a mug of coco, eat a piece of candy, or have some fruit with a little milk and sugar.  There's a reason!!!

@ECBG We went to Trader Joe's this afternoon and I stocked up on some goodies.  I decided to eat low carb during the week but take the weekends off.  I think It's a good compromise. Smiley Happy

@haddon9   Sounds good to me! I incorporated a "cheat day" each week. Now if I can keep myself from feeling the guilt after a bowl of mac 'n cheese, all will be fine. Smiley Happy

I certainly felt "run over" today. Couldn't even muster the motivation to take a shower. Just wanted to curl up and do nothing, knowing that there is a lot to do but I just couldn't do any of it.

SIGH

@LonestarBabs   Well, hey, you got here to post. That's a lot in my book.

Re: Ever Feel This Way??????

Most of my friends live around here (Manhattan) - we run into each other on the street in the park, at the supermarket, at church .... and then there is ZOOM.  We see and chat with each other regularly before and after Zoom meetings.

I was just thinking yesterday about how busy I've been these past few months.

Early on (about March to June) .. there was an adjustment period.

By July - I got my act together.  I signed up for some online classes and webinars.  And July 5th - out Church opened for daily/weekly Masses.

OSV publishing has almost weekly webinars with authors.  I have reading assignments for one of my online classes!

Just so many video presentations - it's getting difficult to keep track.  And - then there's my charity knitting/crochet.

Sweetie, take of yourself, and above all eat properly.  If your nutrition is bad you can feel worse than bad.

Be quiet, be with yourself.  You might like to journal do a puzzel, or a paint by number.  There are some beautiful kits out.

I like your positive outlook and attitude, it is true what you say and the Thoughts are meaningful and say a lot.

I am keeping busy and love to read and I keep in touch with family and friends very often.  I am fortunate to have a great support system and I too am here for all of them.

@spiderw

Thank you.

The positive side with the "half full glass" is the only way to be and so much better for your health.

I miss a lot in my main career, teaching, from which I retired.

I have found I am still teaching where I work as I help ladies to reach their potential and look their best

They call to see when I'm on.

I have been around many in my life that are negative which makes a person feel bad.  It's like "black paint".  If you open it, likely it will be all over you.

Years ago, when I decided to embrace more of the positive, I decided to leave life where there was no sunshine.  I have been happy ever since.

I have no support system.  I am the matriarch of the family.  I have had little to no support during my life, worked my life through college and refuse to accept failure, and am still, working.

Failure has never been an option. Smiley Happy

Re: Ever Feel This Way??????

@ECBG   Thank you for the kind words. I'm much better today! We had a weather front blow in which messed with my allergies and sinuses, so I think that was contributing to my low energy. A pampering shower and favorite movie last night helped me sleep well. I'm usually a positive and energetic person, so I eventually bounce back. BOING BOING

@Shanus   LOL, yes I did make it to the computer so you're right -- that's progress! As Bill Murray's character said in Caddyshack "I've got that going for me."

Re: Ever Feel This Way??????

That run over feeling for me and my husband comes from the constant continual lies that we hear non stop plus the ever changing information about the vaccines and new variants cropping up.

That run over feeling when we are told to quickly get our vaccination before our city is hit with one of the variants???!!!????!!!!

Seriously angers me to no freaking end.

Cannot even get an appt for either of us.  Our city ran out of vaccine and is coming in small amounts each week.
