Ever Been In A Lintz Chocolate Store?

Have you ever been in a Lintz chocolate store?

There's one where I work.  I found their candy boxes had much less flavor than their truffles.  Nothing can compare to that flavor.

I thik I might have gone in one in Williamsburg or Richmond Va but did not make a purchase.  I like Lintz, however.

Re: Ever Been In A Lintz Chocolate Store?

I have never seen or been in a Lindt chocolate store. I admit to being a chocoholic, but there is something about Lindt that I don't like.

The truffles are awful.  They leave a greasy mouth feel and there is a cool sensation in my mouth while eating them.  I checked to see if there was erythritol (Mannitol) in the chocolate, but it is not listed as an ingredient.  This is the sweetener that causes diarrhea.  I strongly suspect it is in there.  It also makes chocolate creamy and smooth.

I have eaten a lot of mannitol over the years and I instantly can tell if it is in chocolate.  I don't think their list of ingredients are correct.

I bought a huge bag of them at Christmas time and gave them all away.

@Carmie - Check out the Lindt website.  Their chocolates do not contain erythritol or mannitol.  They contain sugar.

The only "reduced sugar" items they offer contain maltitol.  Their website gives a wealth of nutritional information.

I admit that, having lived in England for 20 years, I prefer Swiss or Belgian chocolate.  I find the chocolate here (for the most part) too harsh.

Yes I have been one at a mall. I didn't try a candy bar. We just went after the truffles. Shoulda tried a candy bar just for comparisons sake.

We used to have one in our local mall when my kids were little.  They loved stopping in to pick out a truffle when we were shopping.

Yes, have been many times while on vacation in New Hampshire, so fun to make up your own bag with any flavors you want in the store, some exclusive to only the stores.

My favorite truffle is the chocolate peppermint cookie. My son will be waking up this Valentine's Day to a couple bags of his favorite Lindt truffles.

Re: Ever Been In A Lintz Chocolate Store?

Our neighbors visit a factory store in some mall when they go to see their family.  They brought us a bag with flavors not available at regular retail.  My dream is to get there someday.  I love their truffles, I love anyone's truffles.
