This made me laugh.

I was a fashion buyer during that trend. We were "over it" before it began. One buying year it was everywhere at the shows...we literally only bought 1 item, 4 pieces of it. Done. The next year we were shocked to still see some vendors still showing it, some stores still showing them. I mean....they weren't terrible always, and some women really loved that they could feel sexy, baring shoulders while covering arms or other parts they were modest about. But we just felt immediate over-kill with that trend, so we shyed away from it. It became a joke to us too, so you made me smile when I read your comment.
