Re: Economy size Peanut butter containers

[ Edited ]

I only buy the large jars when I am baking...I use the Jif-to-Go's when I just want a snack or fix a sandwich.  I get the big to-go box from Sams.

spatula long enough for getting into the peanut butter jar, and spreading it without getting PB all over your knuckles.

I bought one of these to fill out my order to get free shipping at Kohls. It turned out to be the only item from the order that I kept and it's great for getting into deep jars

I eat peanut butter from the jar with a spoon.  I HATE when I'm near the bottom and end up with it on my knuckles.

I do not dare buy a large jar as I'd eat the whole thing.

Re: Economy size Peanut butter containers

Hey @dex

Since my choice is only naturally ground peanut butter, it is me that chooses the size of the container. Mine is fresh ground, peanuts only, at my long time health food store.

Now my wife? She prefers creamy jif and never touches my peanut butter. She buys, I believe, a 5lb. can. I have seen her use a spatula, not a spoon, at times. I have no idea if it has anything to do with the depth of the PB or not, but that is what she does.

Now if you want to talk container sizes? I can rattle off plenty that I swear come in 10-15 different sizes, and I am talking ounces/liters, and even .02 of each.  Now that makes no sense to me.

Stay well now,

All this time I thought this is what ice tea spoons were made for. 🙃

@Drythe - I just had to have them when I was setting up house 43 years ago and have never, ever used them.  They sit in the drawer in another room!  I'm sure they would come in handy for so many things.
