Oh my! This is shocking news. I thought she was going to get better once she went to the ER. My condolences to her family. May she RIP.

My experience has been that being admitted to the hospital for low 02 saturation when on oxygen 24/7, has meant end stage congestive heart failure, followed by systemic organ failure.

I didn't know she was ill.  She was so beautiful and her posts were always so kind and interesting.  A great loss to the community here.  Sending condolences to all her family and friends.

I am sad that ECBG did not make it. She was an online contributor whose posts I enjoyed and looked forward to seeing and reading. These forums will be diminished without her encouraging and positive words.

I am so sorry she suffered with so many medical challenges in her last days. She will be missed by many of us, but will be missed, most of all, by her family members and friends who loved her dearly.

RIP, ECBG.

ECBG had such a positive impact on a lot of posters here as well as her friends, family, former students, etc. She will truly be missed. My prayers go out to her family.

@Sage04 : My thoughts the "E" was reference to Cathy being a teacher = Education etc.

@Sage04 wrote:

Sometimes I wondered what ECBG meant and since reading the obituary I saw that the CBG stood for her initials but don't know what E meant. Cathy along with her former initial B and G her married initial. It was so unusual.

@1Snickers : I was totally confused because I thought Cathy mentioned in several of her post that her favourite hairdresser was a former student.

   I remember she was wanting to do her hair and I suggested possibly a hairdresser could come to her because my friend does that. She replied that she checked and  there were none in her area.
  I felt so bad for her because so much was wrong and she didn't know where to find proper help or where to start.

  I think her forum friends gave many good suggestions and she knew we were concerned for her.
