I'm so incredibly sad to read this news ... I've been following the other "update" threads with hopes of seeing some good news but, alas, that's not to be.

Though our taste in clothing styles were vastly different, I always looked forward to seeing those wonderfully crafted pieces of artist guild jewelry.  And every time she mentioned the Biltmore Estate, it always harkened me back to one of our vacations where I have a pictured taken in front.

Cathy was always gracious to those who posted on the OOTD thread, even those who would disparage her choices.  She was truly a lovely lady and I'm going to miss seeing her here.

I am just now reading this sad news. I am in shock.  I read in some earlier posts that she was having some medical issues, but I never expected to see this news when it said 'update'.  Rest in Peace, dear lady.

Such incredibly sad news. I feel like I was just posting with her only days ago. May She Rest in Peace. My comfort is she is with her dear son, that in her posts I felt she missed more than words can describe. Fly with the angels, Cathy. We won't ever forget you.

Re: ECBG update

[ Edited ]

I had a niggling feeling all day Friday about ECBC and my "heightened intuition" had me checking the Asheville obituaries--the day she passed.

The Fashion Forum will never, ever be the same. First Andrea and now ECBC, the pioneers and most prolific fashionistas.

I choose not to say "Rest in Peace" preferring to envision ECBC Dancing with the Angels in her favorite Fly Londons.😢

Very sad news, indeed! Though we had never met she was always so kind and helpful to so many, myself included, in her interactions here on the Q boards. I know she will be greatly missed.

In memory of Cathy, ECGB, I would like to share some of the last pictures she posted on OOTD. These were from January of this year...

Cathy attached the following poem to the photos above when she shared the pictures explaining that the scarf included these words on the tag. The words take on an even deeper meaning with her passing. She was so kind. Her post....

I sincerely hope this post doesn't offend anybody as we say goodbye to our beautiful friend. We have lost a powerful and loving voice on the forums.
