Anyone ever have a dream and you can clearly see the person but you've never met them and don't know who they are?
I've had dreams about dying before, but this dream has me on edge because I can clearly see him and describe him to a tee.
A young man with some kind of instrument, something sharp and flat with a rounded edge, walked up to me and stuck it in my left leg on the inside of my knee. He was looking me right in the face with hate and he was very close. We never lost our gaze. He removed it and then stuck it in my groin on the inside and then forced it up and held it as I was dying. My heart beat was getting weaker and weaker and as I was about to take my last breath I woke up. My heart was pounding so hard.
I can't stop thinking about his face. I wish I knew who it was (or maybe not).

No, I have never had this type of dream. It may be a warning to you to be extremely careful wherever you are going and to take reasonable precautions.
If you are a religious-oriented person, I would pray that the angels protect you from evil, esp. your Guardian Angel. Ask the Lord to watch over you also. There are devils who roam the earth seeking the destruction of souls: St. Michael the Archangel is the patron saint to protects souls who are targeted.
Be careful and prayerful.

@rms1954 I would call that dream a nightmare! Maybe you ate something before bed that brought it on... or watched a TV show. I do not believe dreams are in any way a premonition of the future. They are just our minds working overtime.

@rms1954 I can understand why this dream would be disconcerting, especially if you don't have a background on the source of dreams. There is a reason why we have the dreams that we do and the best person to unravel the meaning is the dreamer. I have an opinion why you had this dream. This is your journey and only you can discover the truth for yourself. You might find it interesting to do some reading on why we have the dreams we do.. Breathe easy and relax, no need for fear. Thanks for your share.

Yes, may have been a cramp and your mind, trying to make sense of it, turned it in to something sharp and stabbing.
Most recently I have heard that dreams incorporate what has happened during the day. I rarely have a bad dream, but when I have, I wake up finding that I am too hot under the covers.

I'm really bothered by it. I told my husband and he laughed at me. But it's not funny. It's real and not just a typical dream. I could sit with one of those people that police use and explain every single detail about this person. I can still see his face. That's more than just a dream. No one dreams in that kind of detail. I'm just very bothered by the whole thing.

I dream of people I have never seen before, more than I dream of those I actually know. I can vividly describe their appearance, every little detail. Some are quite handsome, while others not so much, but still distinctive.
I often wonder, when I awaken, why my mind created the particular characters of my dream. I've concluded that it could be that I noticed someone while out in public that subconsciously imprinted an image in my brain, or perhaps these people are just composites of several individuals.
Our imagination is pretty good at creating our own fictitious images. We do it every time we read a book. We see the characters in our minds, as if they are real. So, why not characters in our dreams?
Yours was just a nightmare, not a prediction of impending doom. Many things could have caused this. Perhaps you have been feeling unsettled, or unsafe about something and your mind conjured up the worst scenario. Give it some thought and you might find the answer in something quite simple. The boogieman is gone.

I don’t blame you for being concerned, I recently had a dream that bothered me and I never have bad dreams.
A man was standing next to the bed in my dream who I didn’t recognize and the look on his face was so menacing
I shouted and sat straight up in bed causing DH to do the same.
Really bothered me, and I wasn’t stabbed like you were.
Thankfully I’ve had only pleasant dreams since, hope you do too.

Dreams can be very real can't they?! Can you sketch his face? Maybe at another time, you'll be able to see the same face and can put it to rest. (So to speak).
