I was taught to keep bedroom doors closed at night; it is a safety measure in case there is a fire. Didn’t anyone else learn that in school?

 

That said, my bedroom door is always open but the doors to the hallway it leads to are all closed at night.

since i was a child, we all kept our bedroom door closed. i guess we just followed our parents lead. my husband and i sleep with the door closed too, but when he's away, i keep it open.

Always open.

 

 I know they suggest closing door in case of a fire while you are sleeping.
