Walmart just donated 10 million to Red Cross for Harvey reef efforts. Thanks to all for the outpouring of support for Houston and the Texas Gulf Region.

I posted a chart that came to me about charitable giving resources and how much is actually donated vs administrative? It may not be correct.

Does anyone know how to find accurate percentages?

I am in charge of our philanthropy at work and unfortunately I have to look each one up in their annual reports posted on their website.  I can't rely on third party data that may be out of date.

I usually always see charitynavigator.org mentioned around this time of the year.  Also the news often exposes companies that collect money and most goes to the CEO/Board salaries and advertising - past years sadly it's often involved things meant to help veterans.  The other better known fraudulent companies tend to be companies with names meant to mimic the more legit ones - and in addition to veterans they tend to target cancer.
