It's easy to find them.  Click their name on one of their posts and it will list all the forums they responded to recently and the dates.  Hope that helps.

@sunshine45 You're right, I do post almost every day.  The computer is in the TV room where I sit so I plop down to it.

I live alone with 2 cats so everything (unfortunately) stays where I put it...(not always good when you're a slob like me).

Anyway, I don't post as much as I used to because I think I'm becoming a bore (I bore myself sometimes).

When I feel like there are the same people who constantly see something negative it's like a 're-check' to me and I back off from here for awhile.

At my age I just avoid negativity whenever possible (i.e. little news, etc).  I try to do what I can to make changes and let my 'voice' be heard in my community, but sometimes .....well...it's best to back off.  I'm here a lot more on the weekends.

I wish I could be like you and turn off the negative news.  I get up in the morning and immediately watch the cable channels.  Not that it's me, but someone has to be aware of what's happening.  Who will fight your fights for you if not the person that sees danger and responds to it mainly the military.

Re: Don’t you just miss them

@Sweet_Serenity   I disagree. I believe moderators should sensor profanity and illegal issues only. I wish we were able to talk about substantiative topics without censorship.
What would the harm be. The thread may get unpleasant for a while, some feelings may get hurt, but the over all good that would come when the discussion was finally over would be worth it. And it would eventually die down, and everyone’s voice/opinion would be heard. People might learn something because they had to listen to another’s opinion. They also might learn that a debate is about a topic and shouldn’t get personal or be about the debaters. Negative or positive opinions about products or hosts should not be filtered. A host should not want to hear only positive opinions. Most hosts would want to hear all of them whether they hurt there feelings or not because they are secure enough in themselves to know which ones count, and also respect our country’s first ammendment. “MODERATORS this only my opinion and I’m not criticizing you all. You all operate under policy and I respect that. I will not comment on this topic further.”

@Ketra

I agree with "almost" everything you have said in your post.

Re: Don’t you just miss them

@newname0 I always find it interesting how some find it possible to pick out their 'narrative' (I hate that word) that they want to run with.

I get enough negative news from my local stations.  I do watch more of FOX than any channels because they almost ALWAYS present both sides.  Also often they have the people who are being talked about on that show.

FOX Cable has been the number one news show for a very long time.  I believe because (although they obviously lean one way, they do have a counter person at the same time).  Thus the viewer can either say "Yea"!  or "No way"!

Again, in society today it's impossible to totally tune out negativity because it is everywhere.  I, like others here (come on people, speak up about negativity) prefer to avoid negativity as much as possible (which is (as you stated yourself) impossible....but what the hay.

I'm sure others will make sure we are all very well informed even if it is.....,.

I have voted in every election since I was allowed to vote, every SINGLE election, no matter what it was for.

I get updates from my Virginia Congressman (Whittman) every few weeks.  I've been involved in REAL-TIME Polls (phone) with him and others.

When was the last time you emailed, mailed contacted your Congressmen, Senators, etc?

Me?  I just did all of it a few weeks ago!  So, you could say I am informed...just not every minute of every day.

I did.  I emailed the President of the Senate (Orin Hatch) and told him that democracy doesn't work anymore in this country and we should turn it all over to the military.  I haven't gotten a reply yet.

@Annabellethecat66.  Now see, I totally disagree with your assessment of Fox News. I feel there is a huge agenda there. I now feel like we are down the rabbit hole with the mad hatter.

@Annabellethecat66

Aha! One more thing I like about you, and a commonality. Both sides and let me decide. I find very little in most media, even our local newspaper, where they have a "Public "Pulse" Forum they print. They seldom print my writings because? Yep, I'm on their wrong side.

Like your post and your interest all of your adult life in our country. I too started young, joined the US Army when I was 18, a loooong time ago. Not near as active as you on that front, but have talked several times with our State's Reps about our State and our Country.

Hey, enjoy your weekend!
