Re: Do you use an old-school planner or an app?

I ordered an Erin Condren Life Planner today. I'll still use my iPhone app for appointment reminders. But in terms of organization, like lists (and I have several a day, week, month, etc) and planning and notes, I'm looking forward to having a book again.

I just use a pocket calender, I am retired so most of my items are Dr. appt.'s, hair salon appt.'s, lunch dates or a meeting and Birthdays and FB reminds me of most of the B'days!

Re: Do you use an old-school planner or an app?

I don't do apps, but I do use a calendar program on which I 'diary' stuff.  I don't have that much going on, though, anymore as I don't work.

I used the Microsoft Works Calendar thingie but then MS stopped putting MS Works on computers a few years ago so I have 'Calendarscope' on some of my computers now.   I like it and us it for everything from appointments, when the cleaning lady is coming, and shows I need to remember to schedule as soon as they come on the Tivo schedule.  Oh, and birthdays and such.  Smiley Happy

I guess it's a combination thing for me, as I also have a paper that I put certain things to do on certain days of the week, which I laminated and have on the end of one of my cabinets in the kitchen.     Those are just things I should do once a week or twice a week, or whatever.   That way it's always right there.  Most of the time I just have to figure out what day it is.  ha!  I have trouble now remember what day it is - about 20 times a day!

I keep one on my kitchen & bedroom walls.  Never fails me, even when I don't have wi-fi and/or internet access. whistling.gif

This is the type of calendar I use also because -- as @Mz iMac said:

Everything important is recorded on the kitchen calendar, and gets saved for years and years.

@alliswell, I always used one of these calendars on my desk (as a desk blotter) when I worked, if was so wonderful and big and I could put everything I needed to do for certain days!

I worked at a place where each nurses desk had a plain white paper blotter on it , so every morning I would put up a new clean page at my desk and use it to write my lists of things I needed to do for my patients each hour - like meds, dressing changes, treatments etc.  I would get PO'ed when doctors or other nurses would come along and mindlessly scribble on my lists, usually while using the phone. Geez - couldn't they see I was working there.

I use a desk calendar.  Always have, probably always will.
