A+ we tested ourselves in Biology.

We did that too @StraytoStay! I already knew my blood type but it was cool nonetheless.

I am O-. If I was late in giving I would get calls from the Red Cross to get in there and donate. O-'s are universal donor and given when they do not have time to match a recipient who is in need.

After I developed Crohns and took meds that compromised my immune system and would get MRSA constantly, I could no longer donate. I wish I still could, I feel a little guilty that I cannot.

Just curious - informal survey!

I do know - A negative.

Found out when I was pregnant and had to get Rhogam.  Since my husband is A positive, I had to wait until my child was born.  My daughter is O positive, so I needed the shot.

Just wondering if you know and what it is.  Most people will be positive.

Same here A negative.  I also found out years ago when I was pregnant and had to get Rhogam.   I think it's something like only 8% of the world poulation is A negative, it's not very common.

@hyacinth003

Hi!  Let me see? Over 125 blood transfusions I think I got it. The nurses doing the transfusions triple check everything before they start the procedure. I have heard "B-POS" so many times I hear it in my sleep.

Many that I know, older people now, do not know, and seem as though they couldn't care less.
