Re: Do people still send Birthday cards?

I send birthday cards.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

I send birthday cards, Halloween cards, Christmas and holiday cards, get well, and sympathy cards.  i routinely peruse the card aisles and pick them up when I see ones that I like so that I have a selection at home. I have a great time finding birthday cards  for my friends that fit their personalities.

I do the same.

My intentions are to continue sending cards and handwritten notes until I die.   I do it to show I care.

I did not open my last 2 e-cards; same person, who knows I hate them.

I still send them and I love to get them. It means a lot more then a text ir email one because that person took the time to pick out a card, sign it with a little note and address it to me.

I say yes to Birthday Cards!!!

Re: Do people still send Birthday cards?

We just call each other every year and I send birthday wishes online . Funny though bc yesterday I received my first Christmas card and beginning about 5 years ago I began getting fewer and fewer of those - I'm down to about 3 a year now.

I do sent Birthday cards.  I spend time chosing a card that suits the recipient and get special stamps to mail it.

I also still send Christmas cards but only to people that I will not see over the holiday season.  I write a personal note in each one - I think I am down to sending under 20 now.

I love to get cards in the mail.

Re: Do people still send Birthday cards?

I love getting and receiving cards for my birthday. I appreciate the time someone took to buy it, write a note, stamp it and mail it....many older folks don't use computers so an ecard is useless....I do know several elderly people who I send cards to periodically to just let them know I am thinking of them...and learned they keep the cards out on their coffee table or on their mirrors year-round...they are treasures to them....and it is such a simple gesture.

Re: Do people still send Birthday cards?

You bet we do! Hubby and I pick out cards for his sons, DILs, and our grandsons for birthdays, Easter, Halloween and Christmas. I also send and receive cards from a few close friends and relatives for birthdays. Friends/relatives who are my age (seniors) still enjoy sending cards. The next generation doesn't really consider it to be as important.
