A friend of our son's gave me this piece which belonged to his great grandmother.
It is not an egg poacher. Poaching requires water.
Without researching, do you know what it is???

This is an abelskiver iron. Spelling??? Makes sphere-shaped doughnuts. Scandinavian.

An Ebilskiver pan? Not sure about the spelling. I think they are some kind of Scandinavian pancake. Maybe Danish. I knew a girl way back in college who talked about these. I'm surprised I even remembered this it was so long ago.

I found one in MIL's kitchen when we emptied a cabinet..I'm not sure I think it's for corn cakes?

I don't know what it's called but what ever you put in comes out round. You just have to turn it when one side is done. It's a mold.
My friend got hers from Amazon.

Maybe it is for cooking eggs. Could you not put a little water in the bottom of each one before putting the eggs in?
