Yes, I love to work out.

I hate it but I do it. I have a bad back, hepatitis, and painful hips so it really hurts to walk but I'm doing it. I do think it's helping my back--which has been excruciatingly painful for the last 18 months, so I'll keep doing it. But no, I don't enjoy it.

Reading and watching others exercise for decades, I can see why many do not enjoy it. Different reasons of course, many as simple as doing exercises they absolutely hate. How could anyone enjoy it with that mind set?
Do I enjoy exercising? Most of the time. There are many variables as to why, just as there are great days and just good days, in most everyone's life. The same can be true with exercising.
Then there are the exercises themselves. I love ice skating, but that can be contingent on my ability to feel comfortable while doing so. It has nothing to do with the physical effort part, it has more to do with me being comfortable.
That requires my legs and feet being in tune with my brain, and of course balance on each specific day. Unfortunately the balance aspect takes some testing each time when beginning my skate.
For me there is no better feeling than that of everyday movements being easy, thus knowing you are as good as I can be at that point in my life.
I think unless or until a person pushes past what they feel is their maximum at times, gets the same "high" from exercising as those that have, and do.

I don't enjoy exercising at all, but I do it every single day.
Yes, I feel "good" afterwards, but it's a real struggle to get through it some days.

I joined a gym in Feb. and went 3-4 times a week and was starting to really enjoy going then but everything closed in mid March.
I know for my health I should do something but the pandemic has just made me very lazy when it comes to exercise.
@haddon9 Was the group influence you liked?
@ECBG Yes plus getting out rather than being at home to exercise. Going out and being around other people just give me more incentive.

Yes.. I exercise daily to bay anxiety and stress. It's as important and routine to me as brushing my teeth.

I'm 66 and learned to handle sweat and correct ways to exercise about 10 years ago in a training program at work. I had a personal trainer for 9 months and lost 80 pounds.
I find traditional exercising extremely boring and hard to stick with. I prefer to do it by working hard outside. In the last week, I hauled 87 cement blocks to where I want to use them, dug the plot, and laid them out. I also dug up a brick walkway to add dirt and raise it up a little and re-laid the bricks. I planted 10 hostas. I mowed front and back. I raised the level of dirt and planted grass on one side of my garage. I also walk my dog a couple of times a day.
Working outside is like therapy for me. I go into a zone and don't worry or think about much of anything. I feel better mentally and physically.
In the winter, I use weights, an exercise ball, and exercise bike. I have an over-the-door thing that works great for abs, arms, and legs.

@ECBG When younger, I did step aerobics and just loved it.
But, if I were younger, I'd do hiking, and more dancing. I'd make it fun not boring.

No, I feel like I need a nap after I exercise. Day to day, it did seem like I got more done when I had an at least several day a week exercise regime.
