I need to vent, so for those not interested please bypass.
In the past QVC gave its QVC Members many delivery options as to which shipping carrier we wished to pay for, with regards to QVC product deliveries, and I always chose UPS Ground Delivery Services.
Of course as we all know those shipping carrier choice options are no longer offered by QVC.
Sad how some things change, and not for the better!
In the past I always chose UPS because they delivered before 11 am, and I knew exactly when they would be delivering via their accurate UPS.Com tracking, unless foul weather arrived, then it became a track if possible, wait an dsee scenatrio.
Also I could schedule a UPS hold at many UPS locations which was a real pleasure.
UPS for me is definitely much more reliable, and much faster that USPS ever was, or ever will be.
Fed Ex Smartpost and UPS Smartpost only adds days to the QVC deliveries, and Fed Ex Home Deliveries has become practically non existent, and something I really miss.
If using Fed Ex and UPS why can't QVC just allow them to deliver on their schedule and deliver ontime, which in my area means deliveries of 2 days faster than having them drop off my deliveries to USPS, and then the USPS snail deliveries begin, and that includes misplaced and lost deliveries.
The wait to speak with my USPS Delivery location and with the USPS Depot Manager is an extremely long irritating wait, and then his Assistants promise a call back to me when my USPS delivery is missing and can no longer be tracked on the USPS web site, but that call back from the Depot Manager nevver occurs. I truly detest USPS slow deliveries, USPS exceptions, and USPS lost deliveries. (I even had 1 large USPS delivery show up 2 months later, in a horrific condition, which I refused and stated return to sender).
That lack of Customer service and caring about their USPS Customers also displays a blatant disrespect and disregard of partronage.
There is much to be said for Companies which offer fast delivery services, and those are now my primary choices, provided they also carry the same known brand items.
Unfortunately with many QVC brand items QVC continues to be slow in deliveries, and really extremely very slow with their QVC USPS Newgistics prepaid return labels.
"That 5 day wait for the Agent to pick up the accumulated QVC return packages from USPS twice weekly, then place it on that slow boat only adds so much additional wait time to QVC return refunds".
"That irritation only serves to enrich QVC's bank account with Member accumulated refund return interest $ being held, while the QVC Customer waits and waits for their return funds".
"No wonder QVC profits are not what they used to be".
I am also very well aware of different QVC location warehouses, utilizing their own favorite shipping carriers.
"These Consumer annoyances outlined herein only make Consumers seek other ways of ordering the same item with fastest delivery options whenever possible".
"These days the Internet offers Consumers various options relative to faster Customer product deliveries, in addition to also offering more lower prices, more sales, buy more and save $ on shipping, buy ____for the price of 1, as well as numerous monthly easy payment options for those on tight monthly budgets, and all of these additional incentives certainly make product purchases much more attractive to all Consumers".

I have no problems with FedEx Smartpost. It just gets to my house one day later. ![]()

but why should we wait even one day, when we pay more than enough for shipping?
we can track that the package has arrived in our town
I hate it too, Q gets the savings not the customer

I strongly dislike not having a choice, too. I'd always choose UPS. I'd happily pay more for UPS as they're significantly quicker and more reliable----and also easy to track.

This is where you are incorret. Hae you shipped anything lately? It is expensive. People tend to think that it is chepa because so many companies have tricked people into believing in "free shipping."
There s nothing any of us ois ordering from QVC that we hae to have immediately (unless they have started shipping heart medication). It is OK if the package takes another day or so. Patience is a virtue.

I never had a problem with smartpost either. I also signed on with QVC emails and always know when a package is coming. And by the way UPS has a nack of losing packages from time to time. So, I like this better.

UPS brings it right into my office and puts it in my hands.
Smartpost? Add 3-4 MORE days for it to sit at the post office before it makes its way to my office....AND ....the postman will take all the time in the world to attach 20 rubberbands and HANG a large heavy item on the mailbox IN the rain. He never brings it in no matter how large.
It is not just the additional time frame, it is also the careless delivery by USPS.
I do NOT like having a choice of shipping method either.

disagree, Q like many companies is getting a big contracts from the shipping companies for their business, why do you think UPS benefits from bringing all the packages to the PO instead of delivering them directly to the house.
FWIW we are not getting free shipping from the QVC, still paying $7 for shipping.
Feel free to disagree, knock off $2 and will be fine with smartpost/FedEX post with no tracking and extra day delivery

You can go to UPS's website and choose to not use surepost, and you can pay for the privledge if it bothers you that much. You could also choose one of the faster shipping options that QVC offers.

You do have a choice. Don't choose the default QVC shipping or sign up for UPS My Choice on the UPS website to pay to upgrade your packages so they don't come surepost @Goldengate8361
