I recommend getting water alarms. If as little as a drop touches a contact, the alarm will sound. Helps increase your chances of discovering a leak sooner. We have these from Home Depot.

After finding a huge puddle on the floor, DH figured I was just plain sloppy.  After it happened the next night, he investigated and found the hose to the dishwasher was coming loose.
