@Mary Bailey : I've never been to the kind of salt cave you are referencing but I have been on a tour of salt mine underneath Obersalzburg (near Salzburg Austria).

Yes. Often called salt rooms they are considered to be beneficial for adults and children with breathing problems like asthma.

If you're interested in salt therapy you can also try a salt lamp.

Yes! Loved it. Very relaxing. Antigravity lounger and a blanket were provided. It did get a little chilly. Wonderful way to de stress for an hour. Enjoy!
