Re: December 2021 Holiday Season at the Back Fence

Not much going on around here. Was supposed to visit son and family last weekend, but hubby had to go alone. My back was killing me,esp. now that I  developed scoliosis. We will see them around Christmas.
Very dreary here today, but to be 73 deg tomorrow 😀.

Today we got a few Christmas decorations out and up,only have the tree left to do. Finished my shopping early this year. Did the majority of it on line,as I can't walk so much as I used to.
today was a quiet day, made stuffed shellls biorhythms dinner tonight nans some for my daughter and SIL. We all love them so we always share when either of us make them.Mexican stuffed shell. There soooo good, even t no they make my nose run, guess it's the chili's

Oh @Epicurean I'm so sorry to read that you've developed adult scoliosis.  I've always thought about scoliosis as a childhood condition and I didn't know it could develop in adults.  Enjoy your warm weather today.

Re: December 2021 Holiday Season at the Back Fence

Birdmama,my scoliosis happened because of my degenerate disc disease. It's common W/ this problem as my discs are gone or not strong, enough to keep my spine straight. The pain occurs in the opposite side as the spine pulls the  muscle in the opposite way, hope this makes sense to you .

hey all

it may be cold but a great wind, and full sunshine, clothes outside on line, doing well

dh got a ham from work, every year. this year it was an 11 pounder ham. I contacted 3 people to share the ham with us. daught in law picked her slab up yesterday, 1 friend contacted us with in 2 hours of notice, the 3rd friend never contacted us with a email, call, text, nothing she calls today and says when can I pick up my ham slab, we had to give the slab away had no room in the fridge to store it.she was not happy about that, she thought we would have kept it cold till she answered our call. as dh says, sorry,

That's very generous of you to share that ham @viva923  I bet the next time you make such a generous offer to the 3rd friend, she won't drag her feet responding.  Woman Very Happy

Re: December 2021 Holiday Season at the Back Fence

my husband loved ham. I have trouble with it because it helps retain water.  How very generous if you, Viv, to share.

Indiana escaped the tornado for the most part but I  tell you I was holding my breath when those trees started waving their branches     Looks like they did very well.  Such devastation others had.   Just watching them sort through things breaks my heart can’t even begin to imagine losing loved ones in that way.

Betty @yock  you know I've mentioned that I live near an open school field.  Whoo, I think the single ranch houses on my side of the street didn't feel it like the couple of us who have two story houses.  Just when I got used to the hum of 28 MPH winds a gust near 60 mph would slam into the back of the house.  I've seen footage that folks took miles and miles away of a really big tornado (at night) in KY.  I could feel my pulse racing just watching the video.  I'd probably have a heart attack and keel over if I saw something like that coming at me.  So much loss of life and sorrow.

Re: December 2021 Holiday Season at the Back Fence

Greeting's Everyone.

Today here in Wisconsin is actually pretty nice. Sunny, no wind and it's actually about 40 some right now. In fact Wed is to be close to 68.This past Friday and Saturday we had about 6" snow and that will be all gone very soon. Then by this coming weekend we will be back down into the 20's

I struggle with Fibromialgia and I have Stenosis in my back so I can feel for anyone with back issues. I think my back issues stem from an injury when I was in high school This is ions ago when they made the girls jump hurdles. Well, I missed and went flying and I couldn't walk or sit for a week. Then as a Jr. I had an episode that led me to the doctor and now 50+ years later I am still battling the battle. I wish I could get into a hot tub of water and stay there in there for a week. I know I'd never get out again.
