Yes .... let's not forget about Cash Rewards for CC usage.

I just paid my CC bill for the past month and sent the $18.75 cash rewards for the month over to my savings account.

To amp up the monthly rewards, I also pay my gas and DWP bills with a CC.  (I thought everybody did that.)

Not sure if available in all States but, the CC/Debit retail checkout machines are also mini ATMs.  There is a "cash back" option if you use a debit card.  Not sure if the same for CC.

We use cash whenever possible. It's not tracked and it is almost always accepted.

You should never, never use your debit card for a purchase.  Use one your credit card.  You can use it at the ATM.  That's the only reason for it's use.

Sorry to hear of your problems.

I have never used a debit card for making a purchase!  I always use a credit card which gives me better protection and control of my checking account.  I just make sure to pay off my CC each month.

@smoochy   oh smoochy, that's awful, I am so sorry. What a hassle something like is. Your post just reminded me I get a little to lax sometimes   We shoukd always use the credit option of the atm card.  That makes it safer. But you know, NOTHING is fool proof anymore, there is always someone with a new angle right around each turn waiting!

Yes, but the only problem with using your credit card today is the new "so called surcharge in beauty salons, etc.  This habit is increasing. They tell me in a merchant salon type but many get used to it and ignore. I refuse to pay  and add this surcharge card is ridiculous. Cash is king for me. It is now about 2.5 for some cc cards.

Yes it can be a pain but I will go through drive through window banks from now on and get cash weekly.   It has always been king. I'm done.  PS they are quite friendly as well enjoying a human interaction. Smiley Happy

  1. I hate to tell you but that that doesn't matter. My mother  inlaws checking account is old school. She was personal checks only and no credit cards and no debit cards.if she has to get money out of the bank she goes into the bank and uses a withdrawal slip and her checking account still got hacked a few years ago.
