David's Butter Pecan Meltaways Cookies

Picked up a tin tonight for a pot luck 32oz around $12 at Costco.

Had to open and try to make sure they were ok.  Smiley Happy

They are delicious.

@rockygems123  Thanks for the reminder! I get them from Costco every year, but I haven't  seen them yet. My son-in-law's grandmother loves them to hand out to her guests, so I get her two tins.

That is a thoughtful gift and knowing she truly enjoys them makes it even better.

Dollar Tree has cute holiday canisters and will bring some of the cookies to our volunteer group.  Can just leave any leftover as cannister and cookies so reasonably priced.

This does seem an item Costco carries every year. I'm going to wait to see if it's in next month's sales ad.

@rockygems123  I purchase this Costco item every year. Usually they are a coupon item at or after Thanksgiving for $10. I'm going to wait for the reduced price. They are nice to bring as a hostess gift, or to put out for the holidays on the dessert table. I also stash away one to open a few months later

They're really delicious cookies and they taste homemade.  I like to buy a couple tins and add them to my cookie trays or cookie boxes.

@Etoile308 We got our Costco flyer the other day.  It's through the end of December, and the meltaways are in it.  You do need to verify the sale dates though since it's divided into sections by dates.

@rockygems123   I have never had this cookie but it looks like a Mexican Wedding Cake cookie....are you familiar with that cookie?  If so are these cookies similar/the same?

I make Mexican Wedding cakes which I love....

@Mom2Dogs  I'm not @rockygems123 , but I think they are like Mexican Wedding Cookies. My mom used to call them Russian tea cookies. OK, they are not quite as good as homemade, but they are darn good. Smiley Happy

@Mom2Dogs

I was just telling someone in the store that these type of cookies are made in several countries, Italy, Scandinavian etc.

So I'm guessing Mexico too?  There'd probably be more cinnamon in the Mexican cookies, these are pretty neutral.  But melt in your mouth Smiley Happy
