Hello my friends! I sure was blessed last night when Lori texted me about coming over to use the hot tub, and I should go with her. I hadn't a swim suit on since my fall, tried it and it went well, and we had such a good time soaking in the hot tub, talking etc, and then swimming in the pool, ending in the hot tub again. I slept very well last night!!! She's talking Darla to do this too with us, and it can be mother daughters time! I really felt blessed!! Well, today's blessing was I got my apartment thoroughly cleaned - always a blessing!!
Being a Better Person - Simple Steps to Take Each Day
By David Nuka
The world has become such a fast-paced and hectic place in which to live and work that many people have forgotten to consider other people. There are so many people today who really only care about themselves and think they should be put above the rest of us. This is why there are so many people who are considering being a better person. Think about the last time you held the door open for someone or let someone go in front of you at the grocery store line. You probably felt so good about yourself. Although this is great, years ago people did not feel this because it was second nature to do these things.
Being a better person does not mean you have to change your entire lifestyle and outlook on life. You just have to make an effort to include a few things into your lifestyle. One of the easiest ways to be a better person in life is by saying please and thank you. There is a reason why children are taught this valuable lesson at such a young age. The more you say these little words, the more they will become automatic. It will get to the point where you do not even have to think about saying them.
Another way you can try being a better person is by being courteous. This can happen in a few different ways. Overall, what you want to do is think about other people and their feelings. If you see someone drop something in front of you, all you have to do is pick it up and give it back to them. They will be appreciative of that because someone was considering them. Another thing you can do that goes a long way in becoming a better person is to follow the golden rule. Only do something to someone if you want it done to yourself.
There are a few other things you can do in your quest of being a better person. The great thing about all of these is that they are simple. You really do not have to go out of your way that much to be a better person in life. You can try smiling more to people, as well as listening to them. So many people do not listen to others because they are so preoccupied or simply do not care. This will show you care about them.
We're now in the season of Thanksgiving where we should give thanks for everything we've been blessed with, let's all give thanks for being a better person than we were yesterday.
"Family That Prays Together Stays Together"
By Bl. Mother Teresa of Calcutta
November 24 - Jesus Calling
"Thankfulness takes the sting out of adversity. That is why I have instructed you to give thanks for everything. There is an element of mystery in this transaction: You give Me thanks (regardless of your feelings), and I give you Joy (regardless of your circumstances). This is a spiritual act of obedience - at times, blind obedience. To people who don't know Me intimately, it can seem irrational and even impossible to thank Me for heartrending hardships. Nonetheless, those who obey Me in this way are invariably blessed, even though difficulties may remain.
Thankfulness opens your heart to My Presence and your mind to My thoughts. You may still be in the same place, with the same set of circumstances, but it is as if a light has been switched on, enabling you to see from My perspective. It is this Light of My Presence that removes the sting from adversity."

Oh Joyce! So sorry he can't even receive Holy Communion, but Jesus is there anyway for him spiritually and will strengthen him. Thanks for the update, more prayers for your dear husband, who is suffering alot and so are you! Praying for you both. I'll say the Flying Novena which is nine Memorares in a row. That's what Mother Teresa did.
