Hello my friends! Sure is another cold day today, but this is January, it'll let up again! Sammy wishes sooner than later! It's been a quiet day, other than we bottled our cherry wine today, from our cherry tree from the other house. We got eight bottles. Next we will start making raspberry wine out of our last raspberries. Then maybe our wine making will be done, at least for a long time. We got a wine making kit for our 50th Anniversary and been making wine since, learning more and more about it. Wishing you all a very blessed Tuesday!
Keep yourself young in spirit always by thinking new thoughts and getting
rid of old habits. Lord, may my spirit never become a frail and my abilities
never become barren.

"Jesus turned and said to Peter, 'Get behind me, Satan! You are a
stumbling block to me; for you are setting your mind not on divine things
but on human things. 'Then Jesus told his disciples, 'If any want to become
my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow
me. For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose
their life for my sake will find it.'" ~Matthew 16:23-25

We were born with the Divine within us. Living a selfish life can hinder
the Divine from being expressed and shared. The celestial fire has to be
tended and fed so that it will grow into a real desire to live the right
way. By trying to do the will of God, we grow more and more in the new way
of life. By thinking of God, praying to God and having communion with God,
we gradually grow more like God. The way of our transformation from the
material to the spiritual allows God to work in and through us.

I pray that I may tend the spark of the Divine within me so that it will
grow. I pray that I may be gradually transformed from the old life to the
new and fuller life.
Canticle of Brother Sun
St. Francis of Assisi, 1225
Most high, all-powerful, all good, Lord!
All praise is yours, all glory, all honor
And all blessing.
To you alone, Most High, do they belong.
No mortal lips are worthy
To pronounce your name.
All praise be yours, my Lord, through all that you have made,
And first my lord Brother Sun,
Who brings the day; and light you give to us through him.
How beautiful is he, how radiant in all his splendor!
Of you, Most High, he bears the likeness.
All praise be yours, my Lord, through Sister Moon and Stars;
In the heavens you have made them, bright
And precious and fair.
All praise be yours, My Lord, through Brothers Wind and Air,
And fair and stormy, all the weather's moods,
By which you cherish all that you have made.
All praise be yours, my Lord, through Sister Water,
So useful, lowly, precious and pure.
All praise be yours, my Lord, through Brother Fire,
Through whom you brighten up the night.
How beautiful is he, how gay! Full of power and strength.
All praise be yours, my Lord, through Sister Earth, our mother,
Who feeds us in her sovereignty and produces
Various fruits with colored flowers and herbs.
All praise be yours, my Lord, through those who grant pardon
For love of you; through those who endure
Sickness and trial.
Happy those who endure in peace,
By you, Most High, they will be crowned.
All praise be yours, my Lord, through Sister Death,
From whose embrace no mortal can escape.
Woe to those who die in mortal sin!
Happy those She finds doing your will!
The second death can do no harm to them.
Praise and bless my Lord, and give him thanks,
And serve him with great humility.
A Prayer for One’s Vocation in LifeLord, make me a better person: more considerate to-wards others, more honest with myself, more faithful to you. Help me to find my true vocation in life and grant that through it I may find happiness my-self and bring happiness to others. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
PRACTICING
I once heard a psychologist speak to a group of parents who were frustrated by their teen-aged children's undesirable behaviours. The psychologist explained, "Your adolescents are practicing to be adults, and they aren't very good at it yet."
Those words stayed with me. Not only did they enable me to be more patient with my son through his teenage years, but also I draw on them today in relation to my own maturing in Christ. I am practicing to be a good Christian, but I often demonstrate that I'm not very good at it yet. Fortunately, God is more patient with me than I was able to be as a parent.
Now when I do fail, I ask my loved ones to be patient with me. Just as teenagers usually grow up to be responsible adults, I am hoping -- with God's help -- to become a more mature Christian.
Prayer: Dear Lord, forgive us when we fall short of your expectations for us. Help us to become the people you want us to be. Amen.

Please Be Patient With Me... Signed God
When you don't feel My presence, don't feel you have done something wrong.
Why are you feeling as though you are not going forward in your walk with Me?
Those thoughts are not from Me, let them go. The enemy wants you to think that.
He wants you to doubt you ever heard My voice. Know that I am allowing you this time to rest in Me
while I prepare your body for the next mission. Don't worry that you aren't kept busy all the time.
You must know that you are with Me and I am with you. The life that you are living is being smiled upon.
Take this time to pray with Me, to worship me, to learn of Me, to come and sit at My feet.
Please be patient with me
While you wait in silence, or what you think is silence, is My chance to give you new life.
Some things take time for Me to show my children. Some things My children won´t be afraid of.
If I gave you what you are asking for on your time, you wouldn't be ready to receive it.
Remember, all things work together for the good of those who love Me,
and are called according to My purpose. I know that you love Me,
and you know that I called you, so Please be patient with Me.
Please, don't call our quiet time together wasted time. I don't waste one second.
If you will be patient I will turn all your reversals into rehearsals for my Glory.
Rest in this and be patient. Use this time to meditate with Me.
What you consider as a move backwards is necessary in My process.
I am controlling all of your time.
I see all your moves; I know all your thoughts, I know all your ways.
For I know the plans that I have for you, plans to prosper you
and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Please be patient with Me.
Remember how you trusted Me in the past to work in you?
You were so pleased with what we accomplished, please trust Me now.
You've come too far, don't doubt Me now. Don't worry, I haven't broken one promise yet.
And stop thinking that I don't need you. Please, tell Me why do you think that?
Things haven't changed. I haven't changed. I cannot change.
Please be patient with Me, I will bring to pass all that I have promised.
For I am God, I changeth not.
"The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not
protect you"
January 11 - Jesus CallingTrust Me by relinquishing control into My hands. Let go, and recognize that I am God. This is My world: I made it and I control it. Yours is a responsive part in the litany of Love. I search among My children for receptivity to Me. Guard well this gift that I have planted in your heart. Nurture it with the Light of My Presence.
When you bring Me prayer requests, lay out your concerns before Me. Speak to Me candidly; pour out your heart. Then thank Me for the answers that I have set into motion long before you can discern results. When your requests come to mind again, continue to thank Me for the answers that are on the way. If you keep on stating your concerns to Me, you will live in a state of tension. When you thank Me for how I am answering your prayers, your mind-set becomes much more positive. Thankful prayers keep your focus on My Presence and My promises.
Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth!
—Psalm 46:10 amp
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
—Colossians 4:2
His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
—2 Peter 1:3–4
