Hello my friends!  Nice to see Darla again today at the inspection which turned out fine, so they will be buying that house!  Praise God!  God is a God full of surprises!  I prayed and prayed that Darla would get a job in MN, closer to home, never thinking He'd surprise us by a job right in my town! She will live only 8 miles away!!! Thanks be to God!   

Be patient with others, but mostly be patient with yourself. Lord, help me to keep a smile on my face and to realize my goodness and refuse to dwell on my imperfections.

Scripture for the day:

Jesus was praying in a certain place, and after He had finished, one of His disciples said to Him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples." He said to them, "When you pray, say Father, hallowed by your name. Your Kingdom come. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone indebted to us. And do not bring us to the time of trial." Luke 11:1-4

Meditation for the day:

I need not become weary in prayer.  When one day we see how unexpectedly our prayer has been answered, then we may deeply regret that we have prayed so little. Prayer can change things for us. We can practice praying until our trust in God has become strong.  And then we can pray on, because it has become so much a habit that we need it daily. We can keep praying until prayer seems to become communion with God. That is the note on which true times of prayer can end.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may form the habit of prayer.  I pray that I may find the strength I need, as a result of this communion.

We cannot all be famous, or be listed in "Who's Who",

Prayer to Holy Souls in Purgatory

Oh holy souls in purgatory, you are the certain heirs of heaven. You are most dear to Jesus as the trophies of His Precious Blood and to Mary, mother of mercy. Obtain for me through your intercession the grace to lead a holy life, to die a happy death, and to attain to the blessedness of eternity in heaven. 

Dear suffering souls, who long to be delivered in order to praise and glorify God in heaven, by your unfailing pity help me in the needs which distress me at this time, particularly{mention your petition} so that I may obtain relief and assistance from God.

So happy for you and Darla too.  Now if I could only get my son home from San Francisco I'd be thrilled.  He loves it out there so I don't see that happening.

Update on baby Dakota, she gained 2 ounces, so nearly 2 pounds now.  They have a breast milk "bank" here in Pittsburgh, sort of like a blood bank, and she's getting that.  Had lunch with great grandma yesterday and she thanks everyone for continued prayers.

Hello To All!

Your blessings continue Gloria - non stop.

I so enjoyed the "I Am" writing and the "Life" writing as well.  So very spot on for today's living. 

I give thanks for this nation, her people, her resolve, her outstanding troops, her liberties, her rights, her privledges.  We are all very blessed to be living here and in these times.  Daily we all make history.  With the creator by our sides, we make postive our history as a nation and a people. Be at peace and know you are loved.
