Daily Positive Thread for Tuesday

Hello my friends!  Well, I'm here. I have no idea if I can now even paste anything. Let me try this:

We are partially responsible for every wrong which we had the power
to prevent.  Lord, grant me the courage to not look the other way when
I could make a difference.

S C R I P T U R E   F O R   T H E   D A Y

"There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy
habitation of the Most High."  Psalm 46:4

M E D I T A T I O N   F O R   T H E   D A Y

We seem to live not only in time but also in eternity.  If we abide with
God and God abides with us, we may bring forth spiritual fruit which can
last for eternity.  If we live with God, our lives can flow as some calm
river through the dry land of earth.  It can cause the trees and flowers
of the spiritual life--love and service--to spring forth and yield
abundantly. Spiritual work may be done for eternity, not just for now.
Even here on earth we can live as though our real lives were eternal.

P R A Y E R   F O R   T H E   D A Y

I pray that I may try to make my life like cool river in a thirsty land.
I pray that I may give freely to all who ask my help.

God's Boxes

I have in my hands two boxes,
Which God gave me to hold.
He said, 'Put all your sorrows in the black box,
And all your joys in the gold.'

I heeded His words, and in the two boxes,
Both my joys and sorrows I stored,
But though the gold became heavier each day,
The black was as light as before.

With curiosity, I opened the black,
I wanted to find out why,
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole,
Which my sorrows had fallen out by.

I showed the hole to God, and mused,
'I wonder where my sorrows could be!'
He smiled a gentle smile and said,
'My child, they're all here with me..'

I asked God, why He gave me the boxes,
Why the gold and the black with the hole?
'My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings,
The black is for you to let go.'

Never Lose Hope

If you can look at the sunset and smile, then you still have hope.

If you can find beauty in the colors of a small flower, then you still have hope.

If you can find pleasure in the movement of a butterfly, then you still have hope.

If the smile of a child can still warm your heart, then you still have hope.

If you can see the good in other people, then you still have hope.

If the rain breaking on a roof top can still lull you to sleep, then you still have hope.

If the sight of a rainbow still makes you stop and stare in wonder, then you still have hope.

If the soft fur of a favored pet still feels pleasant under your fingertips, then you still have hope.

If you meet new people with a trace of excitement and optimism, then you still have hope.

If you give people the benefit of a doubt, then you still have hope.

If you still offer your hand in friendship to others that have touched your life, then you still have hope.

If receiving an unexpected card or letter still brings a pleasant surprise, then you still have hope.

If the suffering of others still fills you with pain and frustration, then you still have hope.

If you refuse to let a friendship die, or accept that it must end, then you still have hope.

If you look forward to a time or place of quiet and reflection, then you still have hope.

If you still buy the ornaments, put up the Christmas tree or cook the turkey, then you still have hope.

If you still watch love stories or want the endings to be happy, then you still have hope.

If you can look to the past and smile, then you still have hope.

If, when faced with the bad, when told everything is futile, you can still look up and end the conversation with the phrase...."yeah....BUT.." then you still have hope.

Hope is such a marvelous thing. It bends, it twists, it sometimes hides, but rarely does it break. It sustains us when nothing else can. It gives us reason to continue and courage to move ahead, when we tell ourselves we'd rather give in.

Hope puts a smile on our face when the heart cannot manage.

Hope puts our feet on the path when our eyes cannot see it.

Hope moves us to act when our souls are confused of the direction.

Hope is a wonderful thing, something to be cherished and nurtured, and something that will refresh us in return. And it can be found in each of us, and it can bring light into the darkest of places.

NEVER LOSE HOPE!

A Prayer to Our Blessed Lady
for those who are growing old

Take my hand, O Blessed Mother,
Hold me firmly lest I fall,
I am nervous when I am walking
and to thee I humbly call.

Guide me over every crossing
watch me when I´m on the stairs
Let me know you are beside me,
Listening to my fervent prayers.

Bring me to my destination,
walk beside me every day,
Help me with each undertaking,
As my hours they pass away.

And when the evening falls upon me,
And I fear to be alone,
Take my hand O Blessed Mother
Please stay with me in my home.

Jesus Calling

June 15

When you approach Me in stillness and in trust, you are strengthened. You need a buffer zone of silence around you in order to focus on things that are unseen. Since I am invisible, you must not let your senses dominate your thinking. The curse of this age is overstimulation of the senses, which blocks out awareness of the unseen world.

The tangible world still reflects My Glory, to those who have eyes that see and ears that hear. Spending time alone with Me is the best way to develop seeing eyes and hearing ears. The goal is to be aware of unseen things even as you live out your life in the visible world.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
—2 Corinthians 4:18

And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”
—Isaiah 6:3

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope.

Yay! This was a blessing!!! Praise the Lord!!!! It worked!!!!

Gloria, good to see your Thread again. I still don't like this thing.
I can't for the life of me figure out what this stupid thing above this is.

I may not be posting too much. It's down right aggravating .

Blessings to all.

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Tuesday

Good grief I wasn't referring to the post above mine. I was referring to the gray block that says Rich Text, HTML, Preview, Font family and font sizes.

What do you do with that?

I am totally disgusted with this new thing.

QVC. IF IT AINT BROKE DON'T FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Tuesday

I really think there are some bugs (big ones) that need to be dealt with on these forums. Many blessings today. I must remember to control the delight I have in finding so many and attracting so many more. Sounds strange but it is true especially when I step out to go shopping. So many thanks for this nation, her people, her troops, her generosity, her love. Be at peace and know that all are loved.

Hello Love Roses - I'm wondering if this is the way to answer you all or not? Is there an easier way?  After I answered go2girl - and posted, everything was gone and I had to find the thread again on Among Friends.  There must be an easier way, right?  Hope so.
