Daily Positive Thread for Sunday

Hello my friends! Hope your day is going well.  Those in Philly - are you watching the Pope? You're not far away from him!  Wish I could see him in person.  Can't be watching him much with antenna.  I love reading about him on the boards, makes me love him more. Today when he was at work, and I was paging through the channels to find the Pope, all I could find of interest was "That Girl" so watched a few episodes of that. Froze some tomatoes, texted Lori when they are leaving etc. they are on the road. Darla and Greg closed their back account there now. It's a beautiful house they had to leave! Hope they find another beautiful one. Since she loves to cook, she wants a big kitchen.

Those that least deserve your love are the ones that need it the most.  Lord, may
I have the humbleness of spirit to reach out even when my feelings may be hurt.

"Jesus looked at them and said, 'For mortals it is impossible, but for
God all things are possible.'"  ~Matthew 19:26

We can cling to the belief that all things are possible with God.  If
this belief is truly accepted it is the ladder upon which a human soul
can climb from the lowest pit of despair to the most sublime heights of
peace of mind. It is possible for God to change our way of living.  When
we see the change in another person through the grace of God, we cannot
doubt that all things are possible in the lives of people through the
strength that comes from faith in God who rules us all.

I pray that I may live expectantly.  I pray that I may believe deeply
that all things are possible with God.

Prayer to Our Lady, Health of the Sick
Virgin, most holy, Mother of the Word Incarnate, Treasurer of graces, and Refuge of sinners, I fly top your motherly affection with lively faith, and I beg of you the grace ever to do the will of God.

Into your most holy hands I commit the keeping of my heart, asking you for health of soul and body, in the certain hope that you, my most loving Mother, will hear my prayer.

Into the bosom of your tender mercy, this day, every day of my life, and at the hour of my death, I commend my soul and body.

To you I entrust all my hopes and consolations, all my trials and miseries, my life and the end of my life, that all my actions may be ordered and disposed according to your will and that of your Divine Son. Amen.

GOD IS ALWAYS NEAR
Author Unknown

One thing can always cheer me
When I'm feeling sad and low
When I tired of daily trials
 That I have to undergo,
 When those who should
 Seem closest, seem like
 People I don't know,
One thing can always cheer me
I know that God is near me.

One thing can always cheer me
 When I do not understand
 How pain and sadness
 In our lives
Can get so out of hand,
When the best of human efforts
 Doesn't meet the days demands,
One thing can always cheer me
I know that God is always near me.

One thing can always cheer me
 More than anything I've known
And show me I will never
Have to struggle on my own
For no matter what might happen
 I will never be alone
The thing that will always cheer me
Is just knowing God is near me.

Our lives are in God's loving
 Hands, in everything we do
 He is with us constantly,
 He always sees us through.
And if our faith is strong enough
 We'll never walk alone,
For with His great and perfect love
He takes care of His own.

The window from which we watch the world!

A young couple moves into a new neighborhood. The next morning while they are eating breakfast, The young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside. "That laundry is not very clean", she said. "She doesn't know  how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap. "

Her husband looked on, but remained silent.

Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments.
About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband:
"Look, she has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her that."

The husband said, "I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows."

And so it is with life. What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look.

Come to Me and listen! Attune yourself to My voice, and receive My richest blessings. Marvel at the wonder of communing with the Creator of the universe while sitting in the comfort of your home. Kings who reign on earth tend to make themselves inaccessible; ordinary people almost never gain an audience with them. Even dignitaries must plow through red tape and protocol in order to speak with royalty.

Though I am King of the universe, I am totally accessible to you. I am with you wherever you are. Nothing can separate you from My Presence! When I cried out from the cross, “It is finished!” the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. This opened the way for you to meet Me face to Face, with no need of protocol or priests. I, the King of kings, am your constant Companion.

The Sovereign Lord has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught. —Isaiah 50:4

Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David. —Isaiah 55:2–3

When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. —John 19:30

And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split. —Matthew 27:50–51
