I have always been a planner/scheduler and it has served me well over the years.
On the other hand, I can sometimes be somewhat of a rebel and I think that part of me has allowed me not to take life so seriously!

I do plan some things, but not much. There is no way I'd be happy with my full day planned for every day.
I had a friend who lived with me for nine months while she was recuperating from an accident. She said she was amazed that I planned what we were having for dinner an hour before it was on the table....and I cook everything from scratch.
I am a free spirit when it comes to most things. I get up when I wake up and it's not usually early and go to bed late, sometimes very late. Every day is a surprise.

Unfortunately, I'm extremely regimented. I always have been.

Unless I have an appointment I just let life play out as it happens. I find schedules to do everything to be stiffling and boring! The only time I am regimented about daily is my workout but I also really like to workout. Cleaning and stuff like that can be done whenever I feel like it.

I'm extremely regimented with a little flexibility thrown in.

When my 2 kids were tiny and growing up, I had to be regimented--had no help from their father--he was always working----and as they grew, they helped out too. Now I am 66, kids are adults but no kids of their own and now, I really don't have a set schedule nor do I really care to have one anymore. I do whatever is needed, whenever I feel like it---- bills get paid, food gets cooked, clothes get washed., appts are gone too and that is good for me.

Hmm...Maybe I need more regimen in my life? 🤔

I've never been rigid or inflexible. I've never been a person who lives by schedules and rules that carved in stone. On the other hand, I'm not "fly by the seat of my pants", devil may care type of person either. I have my routines and schedules and the older I get, the more I depend on notes and lists but I'm married to them. I don't put unnecessary pressure on myself.

My free-spirited spontaneous self has been reined in with age.

I adjusted at different phases of my life as needed. When you're running a home, kids, activities, you need a schedule (calender on fridge) to know what to do and where to be to keep you sane, other wise you may leave a kid at dance while picking another at baseball practice LOL When working a semi schedule was needed.
Now at this stage I HATE lists, schedules (except doc appointments etc) and I do things when I feel like it, if I feel like it. It's just me so even if I have the best intentions if it doesn't get done today, there is always tomorrow. I do end up doing what needs to be done but at my own pace. To each their own
