Please, not stirring the pot here, but do you believe in tipping at restraurants?
I had a experience today with a person telling me right off the bat,he does not believe in tipping.I didn't know what to say, other than takes his order(and hopes he chokes on it......kidding) and that was that.
I could go on,but best to keep my yap shut.....

Yes, I tip waiters and waitresses at restaurants. If I get great service, I tip 20-25%. If the service is good, 15-20%.
Most of these servers don't get paid minimum wages, so they make most of their money on tips.
If it's a communal system and only 1 person serves my table I slyly hand them a tip directly.
ETA - I only pay tips in cash so I make sure I have some bills in my purse.

Do I "believe" in tipping? Yes, but the amount varies.
Sounds like this guy was a jerk ... and a very cheap one, at that. Ugh.
I also do not add a tip to my bll, but leave it in bills.

Yes to food servers where one sits down to order and eat, and bar tenders.....it's ridiculous to punish people in an industry that still functions on tipping...that is punishing the SERVERS because one does not think tipping should happen...it's not that server's fault, and they depend on tips. That's how the model currently works.
I tip the delivery guys when I get an appliance delivered from Lowes. That only happens once in a decade for each type of appliance ( usually...I got a new washer, refrigerator, and a patio door that weighed a TON and they brought it around the house to the opening in the last several years....).
I don't own a pickup truck and I live alone. I figure it's a tiny cost to have the stuff delivered and put where I want it, and since the last time I got those appliances was over a decade ago, it's a small price to pay. I figure those tips for the two men into the cost of the item....
I tip the guy who weedwhacks my property....and the one who picks up and drops off my rider for service. Same thing...$70,000 for a pickup truck to do it myself? Or 20 bucks once a year. They remember too ( live in a small town..the delivery folks are usually the same guys every time....)
I do NOT tip for when I pick up food. Or if I do the work.

How a person treats a server tells me everything I need to know about them.
He needs to be a server for a week and learn how the other half lives.
If this was a date, I would never go on a 2nd.
Pay attention when someone shows you how they treat people because it's how they'll treat you too.
His attitude is nasty. Servers make very little money and rely on tips. They ran around serving him and he acts like they owe him something.
You need to give the server a good tip if he won't.

If this unbeliever frequents this place of tipping he will be remembered by the staff.
