Re: DO YOU BELIEVE IN TIPPING?

In this day of people supposed to be more sensitive, I find it very sad that this gets by with little kickback.  Still say shameful for it to be ok and abusive to those named Karen.

@Luvsmyfam, I was rereading this thread, & saw this post from you which I'd previously missed.

In all my MANY years in food service, I've never thought such a thing, and not heard anyone; busser, server, cook or chef express such a vile statement.

Perhaps that reflects on the establishment you work in or its manager(s), or maybe it just reflects on you.

You say "I love my job.", but do you? That's doubtful.

For me, there's nothing better than to feed people! You could even say it's what I live for.

The aim of service should be to surprise and delight.

You aren't responsible, nor have any control over how that is received, or whether or not a monetary appreciation is shown.

You can only know in your heart that you did your best, & when all is said & done, that's what truly matters.

In situations like that, my mom used to say 'It won't make you any poorer."

Readjust your thinking, @Luvsmyfam. I swear you'll be happier.

Muddling through...
