Re: DH THOUGHT I WENT NUTS

[ Edited ]

@magicmoodz   I have nothing against drinking, I had 1/2 glass of wine. I don't drink often, so have never built up enough of a tolerance, so one cocktail and it's all I can handle.

@Shanus

I'm an "all or nothing guy". Quit all my bad habits(?) Cold Turkey. Smoking/gambling/drinking and meat. Tried the tapering a few times and no luck. Quit drinking over 25 years ago. So engrained
now I don't even think of it till I see it mentioned.

Stay well and safe now.

I just told DH we are creating an Itian Resturant here Saturday evening. Spaghetti and Gardiene Meatballs (the meatless ones, they are so good) nice bread and wine. Candle on table and Jerry Vale music in background. So excited and something to look forward too. 🍷🍷 🍝

Goodness I forgot I'm making a chocolate cake also!

The heights and depths we will go through to maintain our sanity and keep things fresh!!  For even having the idea and carrying it out, my hat is off to you with a "atta girl!!!"

I'm putting wine on next week's grocery list too.  I'll see if that helps too.  Cheers!!!!

We always eat in the dining room.

I don't like to eat looking at the kitchen counter.  Also, the apron (the side) of the table is more suited to someone of smaller stature.  Our sons had breakfast there as well as lunch when out of school, and it was also the homework center.

My dining room isn't formal, it's antiques.  We do eat on placemats to protect the wood.

If anyone hasn't seen my dining room, I'll be glad to post it.Smiley Happy

Great idea. We aren't even bringing in carryout food. Friday is steak night at our house; hope we can grill on the deck. Not sure I want to get out of my loungewear though.

@AuntG Saturday night is our steak night.  I always get a whole tenderloin on sale for $10.98 a pound.  I cut my own filets and freeze two to a qt zip lock (actually prefer press seal).  I get filet for less than rib eye sells-always.

@ECBG  OK, I'll take you up on the home tour of the dining room. I remember your post w/ the gorgeous fireplace.
