Crocheted Halloween Costumes

[ Edited ]

Woman Crocheted  Halloween Costumes For Her Children.

These look so amazing!! Such intricate details. Here's her story...

Hi, I am Stephanie Pokorny of Crochetverse

Our family is absolutely obsessed with all things Halloween and so each year I freehand crochet fully body costumes, with no pattern, for my children. Sometimes they are from classic 80s movies, other times from whatever movie or toy is popular at the time.

Once they choose their costumes, I begin on bringing their costumes to life. They love to follow along with my progress and each day they ask, “Is it done yet?”

We live in a cold climate, so the warmth from the crochet is always a plus as we go Trick or Treating. Each costume takes between 25-40 hours and I tend to work on them over the course of about 2 weeks. I have been crocheting since I was 16. I was taught by my Grandma and it is truly my passion.

My mother made my costumes for me as a child and I remember being beyond excited to wear them. It brings me such joy to be able to do the same for my children!

I hope you enjoy!

Thanks or posting about these costumes. So cute. If I had to vote for one it would be the Garden Gnome.

I sewed many years ago but never anything else. Could be because of being left-handed.

@Mistic

Oh, I bet your crocheted items are just beautiful.

I make fleece blankets for Project Linus, and there is a  group of women that does crocheted items.  I am always in awe of their work.  Even the simplest of stitches looks like heirloom lace.

They look nice, but a few of them look like they'd be uncomfortable to wear or difficult to walk in.
