It's 77 degrees in the south shore of MA.  I don't remember it ever being so warm on Halloween.  We considered 60ish to be warm.  This weather is totally unpredictable.   I'm happy for the kids who will be trick or treating or going to parties tonight.  Just a few days ago, it was in the  40s and 30s at night.  I'm not complaining but I'm anxious for boot weather to come.

I find this climate anomaly to be very scary.  At the rate we're  going how long until our planet is unlivable?  Every year is hotter than the last.  We're constantly setting new records.  Nobody seems to be doing much about it but talk.

@Junebug54

We also need rain.  We're in a drought.  There are brush fires all over.

I'm in Pa and it's 80 and to be around 70 for trick or treat tonight. We also need rain badly. Since Sept. 1, we've only had a little over 1 inch.

@chrystaltree  I heard about the big fire in Salem.     The drought is causing allergies to act up at least for my husband.

New Jersey here...and it's 82 degrees outside today.  We haven't had any rain the entire month, so really need some.  We have 'red flag' warnings out for brush fires.

@chrystaltree  It's above 80 here in SE Pennsylvania. No rain in October. Very dry. I do, however remember many Halloweens in the 80's, both as growing up and when my children were little. I also remember snow and sleet! Making the costumes for my children was always taking a chance. Back in the late 80's or early 90's, I made a green velvet long sleeved "princess" dress for my daughter. It took forever! The temp was 80 degrees that evening. Yikes!
