Re: Copying and Pasting Photos

Okay, I am going to do a test post - it will be in Among Friends and will be called - I love Goats.  I am going to do what I said, find a pic of a goat and use my mouse to right click on the pick to copy the pic.

When I get to the new post and text box for it, I will see if I can just drop in the image by holding down the ctrl key and hitting the V key.

I have never used the mouse for the paste option, just the copy.

Watch for the new thread and I will see if it I can drop a pic in there without adding any words.

Yay!  Glad you got it, Mousiegirl.  Smiley Happy

It's a whole new thing for this board but other boards have done this for eons, so some of us were ahead of the game going in, having already had the experience.  Plus I'm big on dinking around with stuff and figuring it out, so I can usually figure out anything that makes any sense at all. hehe

Re: Copying and Pasting Photos

I finally got a picture posted, but it posted six times!  How do I delete, and do you know how it posted so many times?  I feel lost in the woods of this forum.

Mousie - I wrote how to edit the post on the other thread.  I wouldn't sweat it.  It's gonna take practice.

But is it safe to post from our own computers? Won't it give the info of the name of your computer and your personal info, area the pic was taken, etc?

Click on the three little dots in the upper right of your post.

Has anyone figured out how to post a pic or avatar using an iPad?

Kachina, I don't have an answer to your question but I wanted to say it's good to see you.

Re: Copying and Pasting Photos

I was able to insert this image from my i photo and make it smaller. In case any one wants to know it was a BLT salad with marinated tomatoes and olives and bocacini

Yes.  The photo is assigned an entirely new URL that is this site so if you click on a picture it doesn't give any personal information or track-back to anybody's computer.

This is a new feature, being able to upload pics to this website instead of having to upload them to a picture hosting website, so it does the same thing - assign a new URL to the images.

Re: Copying and Pasting Photos

Mothertrucker, 99% of the pics I use in my Birds Nest and Back Fence threads come from the internet.

Now my avatar is a pic of my pigeon Grayson.  When I bought the camera, I disabled all geo tracking.

When I uploaded the pic of Grayson from my PC (for my avatar), I was given the option to indicate geo tracking info and I declined.

I also disabled all geo tracking on my smart phone.

Basically I'm up chet's creek without a paddle if I ever got lost in a snow storm with my phone or camera (lol).  I know I can enable it on both.
