Consistent Negative Comments ~ Do They Bother You? - Page 6

I ignore the negative comments when it is constantly from the same person; I don't think jealousy is the basis for most negativity; I think it is more from frustration or unhappiness.

What I was suprised about when i first joined was the amount of arguning and snarks on not just a few posts but a lot of posts. Of late it seems to have gotten a lot better, hopefully it is not because i just got accustomed to it. A lot of folks would just post something ordinary, thought or opinion about something and the bullies would come out and go on the attack for absolutely no reason, just to be mean I guess A lot of sarcasm, rudeness and narcissistic type behavior. . It was really low of them to treat eachother with such disrespect. I am glad to see it turning around. However, I do miss all the nice friendly positive posts that some of the posters did beore getting so hurt and fed up they left the board.

I have often wanted to tell the culprits out there they should think of a few things like

Do unto others as you would have done unto you

Carma is a ____

what goes around comes around

you reap what you sow

one day you may need help from the kindness of a stranger and be humbled.

No....negative comments or opinions do not bother me....everyone should be able to express their true feelings.....without being judged/criticized for it...

Overall, I want to agree with you....but how do we not judge someone who is always voicing negative thoughts?

I'm not just talking about this board. I'll be going to a group meeting tomorrow, and there is someone rather new who has been attending for the last few months who never has any positive thoughts. I've been holding my tongue when she shares...and I think other group members are doing the same.

I feel like I may not be as patient as I've been in the past if she starts talking her doomsday spiel again, tomorrow! At some point, enough is enough.

I actually like when someone starts a thread to complain about something. Many times, it's something I can relate to--whether it's just an everyday gripe (such as a grocery store complaint) or a more serious issue concerning a friend or relative.

There is nothing positive or uplifting, nothing sweet about this OP's thread. What's not mean spirited about judging fellow posters comments as jealous?

No. I'm not bothered by what others post, both negative and positive; sometimes amused, sometimes bored, sometimes enlightened, sometimes miffed but never bothered.

@occasionalrain Well, when someone consistently bashes others for what they buy, belittles others for what they spend money on and demeans posters who disagree with them, we can assume it isn't from love and kindness.

There is a difference between "judging" people and forming a sensible opinion based on their actions.
