I consider myself a positive person....on the whole. I tend to look at the glass as half-full as opposed to half-empty.
I have noticed that some commenters are constantly negative. They seem to NEVER have anything positive to say. I must admit I have trouble with this as I see no point to it.
I mentioned this to my very wise friend and she reminded me that the world is filled with negative people and much of it is jealousy-related. Do you agree?

No, and it seems like most of the following comments are mostly negative complaints about negative complainers. haha

I completely agree with everything your friend said.

@Regal Bee I do not know what makes some posters so negative and cruel, YES I do take some of them personally, when a person cannot even post a recipe without someone bashing them, all I can think is that they are extremely lonely or that they are miserable in their own life and have to try to bring others down, which is pathetic way of living!

No that is good info for me. I like all comments good and bad. I am smart to make my own decisions.

I see negative people as unhappy.Too bad they don’t try on a little happiness and spread some of that around. They could be so much fun if they were happier.

Yes and here it seems there are a "few" that no matter what topic they just can't help themselves replying instead of just passing!
Or those who take a thread from a positive (or a poster asking a question) and decide to "twist it" into a whole other direction....☹️
then others who reply "feed off" those comments instead of original post...sometimes I just SMH🤔

I don't know if it is jealousy as much as being bitter or I'm always right or have to add my 2 cents. If adding your 2 cents, there is always a way to approach it. Reading is difficult as you can't tell the inflection of the tone. And might I add - adding a lol does not excuse you for being a donkey's posterior.

I know a few people who are terminally negative - never a good word to say about ANYTHING. Sky is too blue, water is too wet. That sort of thing. They seem to be constantly on the lookout for something to complain about and they're extremely difficult to be around. Oddly enough though, they don't see themselves at all as being negative. Rather, they say that they're "realistic".
I think a lot of what comes out here is just people trying to stir the pot and it's easy to do because no one really knows who we are. If they were constantly cranky in "real" life, they wouldn't get away with it.

Some people just have a different opinion than you. I think it is presumptuous to assume that they are especially negative or " jealous ". If you let other people's opinions upset or depress you , well that's on you. It's like the people who think QV.C food is too expensive, so what ? If they were preventing you from ordering, I could understand.
