@Naturesbeauty You brought back SUCH a memory!
When I was a first year teacher hours away in a little town in north Georgia,
there was a jacket with turned back cuffs in granny squares in the cover of Family Circle! I had a fit! My friend, the other teacher in the dept said she would "help" me!!! My definition was different than hers! I knit granny squares until I was sick!
She just TOLD me the next steps! lol!!!
I wore it the first time, SO proud and it was so heavy, I couldn't take it! It drooped all over. I threw it away disgusted. That was the end.

My college roommate had a crocheted Afghan that she always napped with. I loved it.
So, she taught me to crochet.
I made all the squares in blue and yellow speckled yarn for my newborn nephew.
However, she never showed me how to put it together!!!
My nephew is now 47!

I bought some yarn from Amazon to see if I still know how to crochet.
So far, so good. It's very relaxing.

On Littlejohn’s Yarn on YouTube right now. If you love to crochet or knit come chat with everyone. It’s fun....every Saturday 11:00 am (PST) for about 2 hours.
I haven't crochet for a while now. my niece in NC has been making brest for people who have had their brest removed. They fill them with cotton, she told me the Drs there are happy to get them. I may learn to make them. Her group she belongs to, are now making mask, to wear over their good mask, so they can use these as a throw away. People are good.

So glad I saw your post. Just so happens, I picked up my crochet needle back in November of last year. Don't really know how to crochet. By that I mean I am just learning to follow a pattern. But I did a few easy things such as hot plates, 2 children's scarfs and the old fashion toilet paper cover (followed pattern) . Came out good. I have been practicing the popcorn stitch. LOL.
I will join in on Saturday.
Also, I bought what Isaac Mizrahi talks about all the time. 24/7 yarn. Haven't used it yet.
Thank you!

Another fan of crocheting here, it’s very therapeutic for me.
Here is a christening blanket I made recently.
