The 9 year old girl who disappeared on Saturday during a camping trip with her family at Moreau Lake State Park in New York has been found alive and in good health! A suspect is in custody. She was biking in the park with friends around 6:15 PM on Saturday when she disappeared. They had found her bike, but they searched for her all weekend.  It isn't known where or how authorities found her. We've been following this story, and what a wonderful outcome!

Your post simply filled my heart. I wasn't focused all day about this child, but I must have been worried and scared in the back of my mind. As soon as I read your subject line I felt relieved and grateful. I was so sure this would end in tragedy and instead it's wonderful news.

I know so many prayers have been granted. I hope she and her parents celebrate with hugs and tears of happiness.

@gizmogal  My husband and I had the same fears, need I say almost certainties. I just heard the news at the end of Bret Bair's broadcast and double checked it on other news sites before posting. Prayers answered!

@PA Mom-mom This is wonderful news!!   I had watched Lester Holt earlier and they were still searching for the child so this is a great homecoming.

What a wonderful outcome. And truth be told, not the outcome I expected.

The story is currency being covered on Closing Arguments with Vinnie Politan on Court TV. Something unusual is the the family, who only lived about 15 miles away, had received some type of note at their home.

I hate when authorities leave folks hanging like that.  I just heard it on the Echo news feeds.  "Authorities are not releasing any further details."   Why the hell not! 

They could have least release the name of the suspect, male or female, relative & where she was found.

Anderson Cooper asked the NYS Gov. if the little victim was found from kidnappers' fingerprints  found on that  ransom note.  The Governor stated that more proof was needed before she could confirm.

@Mz iMac, it's still very early since Charlotte was reported having been found. I believe the story is still unfolding and suspect the investigation is continuing. 

My understanding is that there will be a news report tomorrow morning.
