Agree. And I would also consider leasing a car. We leased our Honda for 3 years and oil changes were included as well as routine maintenance. Of course, the payments are ongoing but the peace of mind was worth it for us. I know if I were in your position that is what I would do.

If you can find an honest and reliable local business to do your service, that is your best bet. I was able to do this and it is so much better than using the dealership. They saw an older lady when I came in and said I needed things repaired or replaced that really were fine. The local man has been a game changer for me. Good luck.

When I was in my 20s I always had a friend ( who owned a taxi company) pre check my car before I took it to be serviced. He also recommended that they show me the parts they replaced.
