And I can't wait because I do not like the hot weather.

Re: Can’t come soon enough in Arizona

The last time I was in Phoenix/Tempe it was 112 degrees! I think it was during your monsoon, so it was also kind of humid. I was on a work trip and my collegues wanted to go hiking early in the morning. Normally. I would go....but not in that weather. I woke to a news alert about people being missing in the area we wanted to hike in. I was convinced it was my co-workers.

It was not them, they were fine.

I like the area, but the temperatures are intimidating.

After living in southeast Arizona for most of my life, I now don't detect a hint of Fall until Halloween.  It used to be October 1st, September before that.  At least when the monsoon ends, it will be a dry heat.

Why do so many retirees go to very hot and dry places?  Not all of Arizona is a hell hole like that crater Phoenix.  There are nots of much nicer (cooler) places in the state.

Well my husband and I were both born and raised here. Our house is paid for and we couldn't replace it with equal or better. Our friends are here. Lots to do and see, shopping, restaurants, doctors plentiful. I've always said it I can't find it within 5 - 10 miles of my house I don't need it or I can order it. House prices up north are outrageous. It's not that bad 9 months of the year. Would I like to live up north where it's cooler? Sure but then I have to worry about fires and I most likely get a tiny house on a tiny lot for a lot of money.
