I must admit the last items I've bought on line came with free s/h.  I wish qvc offered more item with free s/h as an incentive.  I even suggested it on the 'changes/qvc' thread. On Wed/Thurs, hsn offered free s/h on all make up items.

But just as you mentioned @Moonchilde, we have to weigh our options and comparison shop when it comes to shopping on line or b&m stores.

Bad me, I didn't say, this was a special I bought during ITKWD this morning, so definitely bought from QVC, with $7 s&h.  $99 and change plus the s&h. Amazon was next cheapest at $109 & change with free shipping, hence my $2 more comment. But the QVC deal included $28 worth of extras included in the s&h. Any time I buy anything online I automaticall check Amazon's price as 99% probably the lowest, so if something comes out within a few bucks of their price I'm not being ripped off :-)

LOL!  I check Amazon too!

My Keurig was $99.00 too but of course, none of the goodies you received.  I wasn't even looking to buy one but there was Marybeth with a good smile and sales pitch.

I had been thinking about it re the space & age issue, but not seriously/imminently. I had for some reason thought the cheapest 2.0 models didn't have all the setting choices, so I wasn't looking to buy a 2.0. But when I saw that it has all the features I care about and has a 40 oz reservoir (decent size), at that price, I thought hmmmm!

I have a bunch of Freedom Clips anyway and almost exclisively buy Roger/SF Bay coffee, which has broken the 2.0 label code, I wasn't worried about that.

Hey everybody!

Moonchilde you did good. I resisted the Keurig for a long time. Now, I don't know how I ever lived without one.

The model I have is the older version of the one you got. I did the same thing. Compared Q and Amazon, and Q actually had the better deal by a couple of bucks.

Hi betteb! Whassup?

I just hope the Keurig brand will last me as long as the Cuisinart 😉

Hi,

I'm happy everyone had a nice and delicious day yesterday.

I have a cold and my steroid drops were bothering my eye.  It had all the symptoms of "pink eye" but proved not to be so.  Great news!

I'm washing two loads of clothes than I'm out the door to have lunch with my best friend.

Have a nice day everyone and I'll see you all later.

MGM, have a great time with your friend today. Good to hear that you don't have pink eye.Heart

Myself, I am going to my endo today. I ran a low in the middle of the night and thankfully I woke up in time to treat it. I am not adjusting too well to the pump and having some issues with it that I won't go into. However, I am still willing to try but not sure if I prefer the control I have with just using the pens. I am so used to it, I just prefer it. Last time I tried the same things happened and I just think the pump may be too much of a pain in the neck. Have to discuss it today with my doctor. She is really the best.....very encouraging and since her husband has diabetes too, she understands the frustration with it at times...

Well, darn it!  Good luck and good wishes whatever you decide, VE {{HUGS}}.

So sorry to hear this, VE.  Diabetes is a scary disease.  I've been reading this thread and it seems as though you have to be constantly checking . . . even in the middle of the night!  My heart goes out to you and all those who suffer from this wretched malady.  I hope your doc can help you today.

Thank you Ford. I just got back from her reviewing my blood work and my thyroid is barely functioning. I am going to fill a prescription for Synthroid ..hopefully that will improve everything.

I am going to decide about the pump....but I think I would prefer not to deal with it. My kidney function is not good either so I want to keep really tight control and find the pump, since I am unfamiliar with it, is going to be probably not worth it. I've been very very lucky, though after so many years of this, I still have my vision and can still drive. So many people with long term diabetes of nearly fifty years aren't here to complain. I lost my BIL to it when he was in his 40's. He was like a diabetes educator he was so familiar with it and he helped me immensely. He was one of those people who never complained and he was on his second kidney transplant when he passed.

OK, so enough about me. How are you doing? Are you able to get around a little better? Heart

I have been using Synthroid since menopause, around age 50.  It has been a godsend to me, I rarely have problems (that I know of).  I hope you do well on it.  Other than that, I twisted my back the other day and have no idea how I did it.  So I'm back to wearing my brace.  If it's not one thing, it's another!  My endoscopy comes up Sept. 8, can't wait to get that over with.

I'm really sorry to hear about your brother, that is so young to die, and all of that suffering, that is a real tragedy.  I also find that really sick people rarely complain.  I used to complain more than I do now.  It gets boring and my girls don't want to hear it, and I don't blame them, there is nothing they can do.   Then I see what others go through and realize mine is not so bad in comparison.

Re Synthroid, BTW, I hope you are not getting the generic.  There is a big difference, the generic (which I was only on for a month or so at the beginning) did not help me at all, although some folks do well on it.  Again, good luck with it.

Sorry about your back. Feel better....Heart

I was given the generic ....so I will have to see.
