I just have to say that many of you are completely wrong about me and Kittymom, I am sorry you feel I did a number on you, I did not in any way.

I am a new poster, I was reading the QVC boards right before the change and have been wanting to join in. What I was sensing and what I inquired about in my first post was why I was hesistant. I did not deserve the attitude and accusations that were thrown my way, none of them. Again, I do thank those that welcomed me.

YAY!  I'd forgotten it's Poldark night!

That salad sounds good, Noel.  I'm fixated on the Olive Gardens' bottled dressing right now.

Dinner worked out well, I had everything for a big salad, no cooking on this 88 degree day.

Rotisserie chicken, cubed, grape tomatoes, pitted black olives, artichoke hearts, red kidney beans, wax beans. asparagus and bacon bits.  Laid out so we could build our own, Caesar salad dressing and Kevin's blue cheese available.

I'll be watching PBS soon: Last Tango In Halifax and Poldark.

A NICE EVENING!

We had an early dinner - around 2:00 pm.  I took a nap after that until six.  I just finished a cup of coffee and the richest brownie I've ever had.

As I recall, the test solution come in the box of test strips. I would use it before I used the first test strip (it was never not okay) and then not bother again until the next box of strips. But I was using a box per month.

The meter/strips I last used was the Wavesense Presto. Supposed to be more accurate than some others. But my insurance paid for test strips & I got the meter free.

That's interesting.  I can't recall ever getting a bottle of the control solution.  Now, I'm really curious.

I think you are getting the blank stare because the doctor has to make a separate script for it.

Some control solution boxes come with 2 bottles per box, originally mine used to come with one and now it comes with 2 bottles.

Doctor should see your test strips and write:

Diabetic Test Strips brand X Control Solution

D.A.W or dispense as written should be marked off on that square box at the bottom of script.

Everyone knows of my fondness for Kevin!  I got this in email today, speaking of salads.  There will be photos and recipes for each salad, tweak them and make them your own, these are ideas for us.
