Calling Kachina 5/12/22

About 1 1/2 weeks ago, DH saw momma duck with her little family of 5.  Then we had a lot of rain and they were likely in the reeds.

 

Now papa is back and unfortunately, she doesn't have the ducklings with her.  We fear something happened to the little ones.

@ECBG     Ahhhh, how sad.  Probably some predator got them.  I wonder if they'll try again?

Since papa is back (heaven only knows HOW she found him), they may try.

 

DH saw them early this evening and they quickly left just before a big hawk flew over.
