Calling Housecat 1/29/22

[ Edited ]

@house_cat

I read your post and had never thought of or considered an immersion blender, then thought of a million uses like the Carraba's (I hope) salad dressing I made today.  I found a nice one at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and they have a nice coupon ending tonight if you need anything.

I thought I'd pass along, if you and fam would like a wonderful vacation, we have gone for years to a NC beach near the SC line, "Holden's Beach" near well known "Calabash" where the wonderful seafood houses are.  DH grew up going to Holdens Beach as our son's did, as well as grandsons.  You can either take your sheets or rent them.

Houses are fully equipped with dishes and pots and pans.

The prerented houses are blocked off after January 15 and availability is open.  I would suggest beach front.  Taking a cart loaded down with chairs and everything and looking for a public access never appealed to me.

There are several rental companies but I preferred Coastal Vacations  and Holden Beach Realty.

The houses go very quickly. and you'll need to make a down payment.  They do monthly payments as well.

I always look for a covered porch.  Love that now we can see inside the house before we rent!

We have moved slightly northward to another beach, Oak Island, close to the antique town of Southport.  Once I found it, I was in love!  The boys still have their water and beach so all is good!

I adore this relaxed time with our grandsons, they get to build memories and have a wonderful time.  We grill out and my DILove and I cook.

@ECBG

Thank you.  My DIL and granddaughter both have summer birthdays and since the families are scattered throughout VA, NC and SC we thought it would be nice to rent a house for a week this summer.  I'll save that information.

Totally forgot to mention that Holden's Beach is on an inlet and the surf is gentle and won't beat you down.

You will have a large space in front of your house and have plenty of room on the beach, not like a high rise that empties out on a small beach area where you can't find space and are fearful for a child to go in to restroom alone.

You can see your family from your front porch so those that want to stay up can fully enjoy family time.

If you love your house, the following Tuesday or Wednesday, you can call in and a small deposit saves the house for the same week the following year.
