@Tissyanne, I know your post was meant for @possummink, but Frito Pie is one of my favorite things to enjoy when we're watching football.

@LIG1,

Frito Pie is a favorite at my house too!

Tissyanne,  Thanks,   Happily no laundry today,  though I am sure if I looked in the boys rooms,  I could find enough to make a mixed color load.   It'll be there waiting for me tomorrow.

I thought we were going to have some rain earlier, as it got windy and very cloudy.  So far no raindrops.

Frito Pie sounds really good to me.  I love that kind of food, with chips, cheese, chili, beans, jalapenos.  I'd have to add diced tomatoes, fresh, along with shredded lettuce and diced sweet onions.   I love Tex-Mex food,  all Southern foods,  Seafood,  all veggies,  breads,  heck,  I love food,Cat LOL period.   There are very few foods that I won't eat.

I hope you are getting a bit cooler temperatures and hopefull some of the rains that the Southwest and parts of California are getting.  Maybe that rain will be moving toward your area.

Take good care and be safe.  Cat Happy

Thank you for the warm welcome,  LIG.   A lovely new thread to come and visit with friends.   I hope it's ok to post just plain photos, mostly.   I don't have many photos with quotes or sayings.   Now and then I do find some that  go right to my heart.   I'll try to find some of those and post them, now and then.

Did your Queen Anne's Lace ever show any signs of a 'comeback'.   I hope  you can transplant some this fall.    Who knew wild carrots could be so beautiful?

@possummink,

I use the recipie from the Pioneer Woman, and it includes ground beef, rotel, cumin, ground oregano, masa, and tomato sauce. I do chop onions to serve on top, and also shredded cheddar cheese. This is served over fritos. Cat Happy

So far we are still hot and dry. I am glad to read that California is receiving rain they needed so badly. As much as we could use some rain, there are no wildfires around here, and we had a record rain amount in the spring. Enjoy your evening. Smiley Happy

Puddles,   Thank you for such a nice thread and for your warm welcome too.   Love the beautiful sentiments on so many of the photos.   I mentioned to LIG that I don't have many with such quotes or sayings, but will find some.   I tend toward photos of  the beauty  and scenery of so many talented persons, who with their camera  lens or paintbrush,  show and share with  those of us who can't go to those places, the lovely landscapes, villages, farms, ancient places and peoples, animals and wonders of this blessed planet we live on and beyond,  with the auroras,  constellations, caught on film by dedicated people.   Their sharing photos, commentary,  opens so many venues I find so interesting.     Ancient ruins, strange animals, birds, fish, etc., recipes, customs, all bring better understanding and interest me into further research, so I can keep learning, even at my age.   Then others bring back the treasured memories of childhood times,  in my case,  steam engines, farm-life and the seasons that go with it, a much easier pace of life, in much gentler times.

I love sharing the photos I find with anyone who may  enjoy them.   I may also, due to senior moments, post the same one more than once, and I apologize for that ahead of time.

Thanks again! Heart    Sorry to rattle on so much. Cat Embarassed
