Yes! Another poster mentioned how your color perception will change after you have your cataracts taken care of. I didn't realize how color blind I was and how I see color vividly now! Also I find now I need sunglasses every time I'm outside. Light is blinding to me now. And about getting injections in your eyes...I have diabetic retinopathy and have to get treatments to my eyes every 3-4 months. Yep injections in my eyes. I have a terrific doctor and never feel a thing! It sounds worse than it actually is. At least I am able to keep my vision.
Thanks to everyone who replied. My fear is not quite as bad (kind of) and I'll proceed with making an appointment for 6-8 months and see how the cataracts have progressed.
My opthalmologist specializes in those and glaucoma and his surgery schedule stays booked.
@Shanus getting both my eyes done in September. I can't wait. Been wearing glasses then contacts for over 40 years. I want to be able to drive in the dark again. I have hated fall and winter trying to hurry up and get home before dark. I can't afford the full surgery $6,000 plus) but I can do the one which requires reading glasses 🤓 after and I'm fine with that. They sad I'll be wearing an eye patch short term and that's fine too. Since my job is all on a laptop reading and just seeing is my life. I'm praying and hoping for a good outcome. Reading everyone's stories here has been amazing and a huge help in understanding the surgery. Blessings for you and your DH and your vision journeys.
