I'm a lousy mother, lol.  Monday was Presto's 6th birthday and I didn't make any cookies or cakes on that day

Well, if I don't see Gerry today this will mark 2 weeks since I've last seen that little groundhog.  I'm wracking my brain trying to remember if Gerry took off last summer.  I was so preoccupied with Presto's egg laying last year that I can't remember if Gerry wandered away.

My sister gets on the road early to work morning overtime and I asked her if we got heavy rain yesterday morning.  I stayed up late to watch Jill Bauer's last show on Wednesday night and slept in later yesterday morning.  My sister said that when she was leaving for work it was like the skies opened and she was drenched just walking 3 steps from her house to the car in the driveway.

This explains the water that I found in my basement yesterday morning. There wasn't that much on the floor however any time I see water on the basement floor I get nervous
